The Vermilion Regional Airport is currently updating our Economic Development Plan which will include detailed information and layout of Development land with acreage and dimensions. Smaller Plats or larger plat up to 177.5 acres may be available.
There are land plats presently available for lease or possible FAA approved purchase of the 177.5 acreage or smaller plats. The locations are in an Enterprise Zone. Enterprise Zones are specially designated areas in which tax incentives and direct financial assistance may be provided. Some Enterprise Zones may provide property tax abatements as well as other tax credits and tax exemptions to businesses located within the Enterprise Zone. The plat(s) offer Danville city sewer accesses and all utilities including water, gas and electric. Our development area land currently is accessed from Bowman Avenue or Newell Township Road.
The city and county intend to develop the “Bowman-Vermilion Corridors” Beltline. Plans for the Beltline are currently under development by city staff and engineers. Detailed copies of the plans will be available to interested parties upon request.
